Drupal 6 - Default Input Format Not Working?

I've got my "boss" role set to "full html" in the "default input format" settings of Drupal, but the darn thing doesn't seem to work. Everytime I create a new page, it defaults to "filtered HTML." Any idea what might be going wrong?

Try changing the weight of the default input format rules ( ie. moving them to the top). You want to make sure your "full html" rule is above the rest.

If that doesn't do it - try clearing caches, rebuilding permissions (via site building > post settings), and clearing browser cache/ force refreshing the page.

I'm having this same issue. I adjusted the "default input filter" settings and rebuilt post permissions, but still no luck. I'm thinking maybe it's an FCKeditor issue. I tried adjusting the FCKeditor global settings profile and adjusting the role precedences (the lower role had been appearing before the higher role (ie. 2>1). We'll see if that does the trick....
