Drupal Analytics Tracking Not Installed

    I'm trying to install the Google Analytics module on one of my Drupal sites (both the latest stable 6.x versions), but every time I try and verify the connection within Analytics I get the error message "Tracking Not Installed."

    I have not turned on caching, and when I'm logged out the code shows up in the source code of the front and other pages.

    I'm baffled!

    A couple things to check:

    • Make sure the $closure variable is being printed on the bottom of your page.tpl.php (and page-front.tpl.php) files
    • Clear your site caches
    • Make sure your site is accessible by Google (ie. not password protected
