I'm using Drupal 5.x and FCKeditor 2.5. Everything has been working smoothly until recently, when I gave a client access to the "source code" button. On my front page, when I try and make a change - I hit "submit" and get the notification that the page has been updated.

However, the changes aren't being saved. Any ideas why? If I disable FCKeditor, incidentally, the changes save again.

There are certain code elements - such as <embed> objects, that will conflict with FCKeditor and cause the changes to your page not to be submitted. Make sure there's only standard HTML present on the page and you should be good to go.

That did it Thx CWD! It was an embedded Flash (SWF) code segment, loading a photo gallery, that was causing the issue. I removed the code, re-created the page (since the changes still wouldn't save on the old page), and now everything works as it should.
