When I try to send an email it says long running scripts need to be stopped to send email. I try to stop them, but it continues. I read that this has to do with your programming. I need help as to what to do to get this to stop, please.

Can you give us some details such as who your email provider is (ie. Yahoo, Hotmail, Time Warner, etc.), and what application you are using to send your emails (ie. Outlook, Yahoo mail, etc.)? Finally, please post the exact wording of the error message you're receiving. That will help us troubleshoot your specific issue.

My email is with Yahoo. It's in my Facebook though that I have trouble with it hanging up and not being able to make it let me start typing again when that error comes up about long running scripts. I end up losing anything I typed just to get out of the page.

It won't let me copy it or anything before I have to refresh it to get out. Do you know of the email website to let Facebook know of this problem. I keep searching, and that's how I found you. I appreciate any help you can give me. I so appreciate you getting back to me so quickly!

Thanks for the update. Does this script running problem happen all the time, or only when you also have Yahoo mail open? And you say it only happens with Facebook? What web browser (ie. Internet Explorer 8 or Firefox 5) are you running (you can find out by browsing to Help > About).

It's Windows Internet Explorer 9, and usually I do have Yahoo open at the same time. I will try after while to shut Yahoo and try it alone and see what happens. Thanks!

Well it seems to be working fine today, with it on and with it off. Go figure! I know. They're computers. If I keep having trouble, I'll let you know. Maybe Facebook got it fixed! We go along great and then they start upgrading it and messes everything up again for awhile till they get all the bugs worked out. Oh well, it's free and keeps me out of trouble! Thanks for your help.

OK I was sending an email with my email messages site opened up, and it was starting to give me fits. I can type and it freezes up and won't let me erase or type more. I finished it quickly so I wouldn't lose it. When I was typing while ago, I just had the yahoo website opened up....not my email website page. So I guess it does have to do with Yahoo. What's your next suggestion? And I really appreciate your help!

It sounds like it might be a Yahoo plugin or something interfering. Without being able to troubleshoot your PC in person, the only recommendation we can give is to switch to a new browser to read your Yahoo mail until you can find someone to troubleshoot the issue for you locally.

You can install another browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome) on your PC and launch it alongside any of the other browsers - they can run at the same time. We typically use this to test websites. Good luck!
