The problem could be related to your ISP (Internet Service Provider), hosting provider, or your local PC (most likely your router or hosts file).
There's several things you can try. After each step, refresh your browser (restart) and see if you can access your website.
- Reboot your PC, restart your browser, and see if you can access your website.
- Flush the DNS by browsing to Start > Run > type "cmd". This will open a command (DOS) window. Type "ipconfig /flushdns"
- Change your router's MTSU value from "Automatic" to a lower value (a value that's too high can cause DNS errors).
- Make sure Spyware isn't blocking the website (for example, by inserting a statement in your Windows hosts file that's preventing you from access the site. You can peruse your hosts file at %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and search for your domain name in it.
- If your hosting the website in question with a hosting provider, visit WhatismyIP.com, contact your hosting provider and ask them if your IP is being blocked by their firewall.
