Error 2203 Database - Cannot Open Database File

    I'm trying to install Corel's Video Studio Pro X3 (Trial), and in the very beginning I keep running into the following error: "Error 2203.Database: c:\Windows\Installer\.ipi. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287035."

    I've set the read/write, etc. permissions for the WIndows\Installer directory to allow everyone full permissions. Still, this error shows up. I can hit "OK", after which installation continues, but in the end it fails.

    Any ideas?
