I figure while I'm at it I might as well post all my Thunderbird woes Bear with me please web rockers!

Another Thunderbird email error I'm experiencing is "Error copying mail to Sent folder." It gives me the option to retry, but that never seems to work.

Are any of you experiencing this error? And if so, any ideas what to do about it?

This is what worked for me. In your Thunderbird menu, browse to Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings (for your account) > Advanced button > change "maximum number of server connections" to 1 or 2.

Restart Thunderbird and see if you're able to copy messages to your Sent folder again!

Here's an alternate solution if you're using a webmail account such as Yahoo or Hotmail (and first, I should point out - you should always try upgrading your version of Thunderbird to the latest if you haven't already!)

Back under your account settings, disable the option "save a copy of the message in the Sent folder." In your webmail account (Yahoo in this example), browse to Options > General > uncheck the box "save a copy of the message in the Sent folder" > Save your changes > restart your PC.
