I'm trying to create a graphic banner, or header, similar to the one you use on CWD Forum and CWD Community. I've noticed that your font/ text looks real sharp and crisp, but the file size isn't too large.

How are you able to achieve this? Are you using Photoshop? And what filetype/ compression do you save as? Everything I try leaves my font/ text looking blurry and smudged out.

Try playing around with the anti-alias setting. A "strong" anti-alias will tend to fill out the letters more and decrease fuzziness. For some already "fat" looking fonts, a "crisp" anti-alias might look better. You'll also want to choose the regular/ bold versions of the font (if they're available), and play with the character settings (open the character window by browsing to Window > Character).

Finally, try saving the image as GIF, PNG, and JPG using different compression settings. With GIF, you can pick the colors you want to keep. Make sure the colors in your text/ font letters are all in there.

Your best bet is to play with all these combinations until you find one that looks good. Good luck!
