I can't seem to find a way to merge cells in my Open Office calc document? I select all the cells horizontally, and then right-click and select "format options." But under none of the tabs do I see an option for merging them. I also didn't see a merge option in the drop-down when I right-clicked. Any ideas?

    Hi Biz,

You almost had it. To merge cells in Open Office, select them as you did, and then browse to the format option in your file menu. Once there, check the merge cells option.

Cool, thanks I accidentally merged too many cells together. How do I un-merge (split) the cells back apart?

To split the cells back apart, simply highlight the merged cell, and browse back to File > and uncheck Merge Cells. They will resort back to their previous, split state.
