How do I turn off auto spell check in Open Office? I've got these red squiggly lines appearing beneath all my misspelled words, and it's driving me crazy. I checked in the Options, Auto Correct Options, Customize, etc. and no luck. Any ideas?

You should see a button in your icon toolbar that has the letters "ABC" with a squiggly red line under it. That button is most likely selected. Click it once to un-select it. That should disable the auto spell check for that Open Office document.

Omigosh!!!! Thank you so much for answering this question a year ago. I could NOT figure out how to do that and OO is absolutely no help at all sometimes. Driving me nuts, too. Well, duh!!! It's a toggle button - never saw it look the other way before and it never occurred to me that it was on/off. Bless you for taking the time to answer.
