<title>JeffNox on "Smart FTP - Adjust Retry Delay?"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;I recently upgraded Smart FTP to version 4.x, and while there's many new features that make the upgrade worthwhile - there's one that's particularly annoying. And that is the &#60;strong&#62;retry delay&#60;/strong&#62;. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;About one out of four times, an upload will not succeed, and a message will appear saying that SmartFTP will &#34;retry&#34; at HH:MM:SS. The problem is, I don't feel like waiting a minute everytime an upload doesn't work the first time. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;So my question is - is there a way to adjust the retry delay in SmartFTP?

<description>&#60;p&#62;Is there a way to upload and download, using SmartFTP, at the same time? Currently, all my uploads go to the bottom of the transfer queue. But I know that it's possible (and more efficient) to upload and download FTP files simultaneously because I can get the upload to go at the same time as the SmartFTP download by using a different FTP utility (FileZilla) for the upload.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;There must be a way to speed up SmartFTP?

<title>sam on "SmartFTP File Exclude Filter Won&#039;t Work"</title>

<description>&#60;p&#62;I'm trying to get the Smart FTP exclude filter to work and it won't. I realize I now need to adjust the &#34;default favorite&#34;, which is strange in itself, but it's still uploading the files and folders I have wildcarded to exclude.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Here's how I adjusted my filter:&#60;br /&#62;
- Tools &#38;gt; Settings&#60;br /&#62;
- Under &#34;General&#34; in the list on the left click &#34;Favorites&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
- In the panel on the right, under &#34;Default Favorite&#34; click &#34;Edit&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
- Under Options select &#34;Enable&#34; and check the box for &#34;ignore case&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
- Under Filter List &#38;gt; Type select &#34;Exclude&#34;&#60;br /&#62;
- Click the 'new' button to the right of the word Filter&#60;br /&#62;
- Copy and paste the following into the Value field: *\.svn*&#60;br /&#62;
- Double-click on the words &#34;File (Name)&#34; and a dropdown list will appear. Select &#34;Any&#34; from that list.&#60;br /&#62;
- At the bottom of the screen, click &#34;OK&#34; to save your changes.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I even used a regex filter (*\.svn$) that someone suggested, but no luck. How on earth do I get this thing to work?

<title>sam on "SmartFTP Coupon Code?"</title>
<link>http://forum.werockyourweb.com/software/smartftp-coupon-code#post-62</link>

<description>&#60;p&#62;Does anyone happen to know of a coupon code for SmartFTP? I'm about to renew my subscription, and for the first time noticed the coupon code field during checkout.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I Googled for SmartFTP coupon code and didn't find jack. I for the life of me don't know why companies always include a coupon code field - especially if there's no coupon to readily be found. In my opinion this only makes users feel like they're getting ripped.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Anyways, sorry for the rant. If anyone has a code that would be much appreciated.
