I keep trying to access my bank's online payment website (using Internet Explorer 8), but when I do, I get the message:

There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

We recommend you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

It then gives me two options:

    1) Click here to close this webpage
    2) Continue to this website (not recommended)

There's also a "more info" button.

Any ideas how I should proceed? I need to make an online payment in the next couple days.

Try accessing the website with the "www", or, if you were accessing it with the "www" (ie. www.example.com), try accessing it without (ie. example.com).

www.example.com and example.com are treated as separate domain names, and therefore a security certificate can apply to only one variation. What the site designers should do is redirect one to the other, so users don't run into this problem.
