SmartFTP upload and download at same time?

    Is there a way to upload and download, using SmartFTP, at the same time? Currently, all my uploads go to the bottom of the transfer queue. But I know that it's possible (and more efficient) to upload and download FTP files simultaneously because I can get the upload to go at the same time as the SmartFTP download by using a different FTP utility (FileZilla) for the upload.

    There must be a way to speed up SmartFTP?

    You should see a "workers" field in the top right of the Transfer Queue window. Increase this number (the default is 1). Then you can get simultaneous upload/ download going. This is particularly useful if your FTP session allows many connections, and if you're uploading a bunch of small files (simultaneous connections don't improve your overall upload speed, but may help upload many small files in parallel, therefore speeding up your overall upload, and decreasing your total upload time).
