Tortoise SVN icons not updating?

I'm using Tigris Tortoise SVN repository on Windows 7 to backup revisions of my web design files. I've been using this program since back on Windows XP and it has saved me many a headache from having to rewind a couple changes back or restore an old site look.

However, now that the program is on Windows 7 (64-bit), I'm running into a bit of a problem: and that is, the overlay icons that show me when a file has been changed aren't updating.

In this particular example I'm trying to see which Drupal files have changed - that is, so that when I upgrade I only need to replace the changed files (I save, for example, the older Drupal version to SVN, and then copy and paste the new version over it, with the idea that the overlay icons will show me at quick glance which files have changed.)

Unfortunately, the icons aren't refreshing, so I'm missing out on some files that have changed, but according to their icon haven't. Is this a Tortoise SVN issue or a Windows 7 problem?

I've had this problem ever since I upgraded to Windows 7. I think it "caches" the icons for performance or something. I tried refreshing the folder view, no luck. Does anyone know if there's a way to clear the Windows or SVN cache?

I have the same problem ocassionally on XP, killing TSVNCache.exe seems to fix it.

    Have you tried:

TortoiseSVN -> Settings -> Icon Overlay, set Status Cache to 'Shell' instead of 'Default'

for further information take a look at:
