I am getting serious Firefox memory leaks in Ubuntu. I've compared the memory usage to other operating systems, and Ubuntu in particular doesn't even come close.
Is there any way to fix the Firefox memory leak in Ubuntu?

Hi obelix,
Good question. I'm not sure if your actual memory leaks in Firefox are specific to the Ubuntu platform, but even if they are, the tips listed in our Firefox Footprint article should help you out.
I was having terrible memory leaks with a recent fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04, recently updated, in Firefox 3.6.whatever. Finally narrowed it down to the Ubuntu Firefox mods add-on. I disabled that and the memory leak is gone.
