Windows 7 Dim Screen

Okay, now I'm really confused. I've got Windows 7 on another PC - a desktop, and I just restarted the PC for the third time today. No black screen of death - everything seems to be loading fine (unlike the other problem I just posted), but the screen appears dimmed out - almost like I'm on a laptop in power saving mode.

Has anyone else had their Windows 7 screen go dim? Particularly after rebooting? Once again, I can't think of any major changes that have taken place on my PC, yet the screen has gone dim and I can't seem to get it back. I've messed with the graphics and display settings, no luck...

You can try browsing to Control Panel > Power Options > and in the left side panel select "Choose when to turn off the display."

If you see dimming options, you can adjust them, as well as the screen brightness. If you don't see these options, it's because they're usually only present on laptops.
